Your competitiveness cluster in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region

The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is the major region in which the cluster is based and operates, with a strong economy dedicated to chemistry and materials on an international scale and considerable potential for project development.

With its chemical and plastics valleys, it is also France's leading rubber-producing region in terms of workforce, thanks to the presence of the world's leading tire manufacturer Michelin, the only CAC 40 company to have its headquarters in the region. The cluster is in line with the regional guidelines for the industry of the future and is part of the network of 13 regional clusters with which it collaborates.

A look back at the CRADLE-ALP Interreg project meeting

We have just concluded two rewarding days where we were able to welcome, in Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon, our European partners in the CRADLE-ALP Interreg project.

What is the CRADLE-ALP project?

New governance for POLYMERIS

The Annual General Meeting on June 4, held in conjunction with the FIP trade show at Groupama Stadium, was attended by 250 shareholders, including 120 in person, to mark an important turning point in the governance of Polymeris.

Strengthening and continuity of governance
At the meeting, the Board of Directors elected a new governance structure. Joël Viry, head of his new company WiPack, was appointed Chairman, inaugurating a mandate focused on innovation, sustainable development and the notion of multi-materials. The new board is made up of 14 members, representing various Polymeris innovation sectors and covering the cluster's major priority issues: support for SMEs, academic collaboration, circular economy, green chemistry and advanced materials (rubbers, plastics, composites).

PLAIRE works on high-performance recycled plastics

A regional consortium has just received a grant from France 2030 to develop new materials based on recycled plastics.

Labelled Techtera - Polymeris, the PLAIRE multi-partner project has just received 990,000 euros from France 2030. The consortium comprises four entities from the Aurhalp region. The project initiator is Cycl-Add (Maillat / Ain), an SME founded in 2016, which markets recycled plastics (mainly polypropylene and polyamide) using a process that supplies 100% recycled materials, including additives. The company is supported by a parent company, CRE-ADD, which includes a design office (Creastuce). Cycl-Add has in-house skills in eco-design and life-cycle analysis.
