L’engagement européen de Polymeris salué par l’État

In a letter to Polymeris, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, praised the cluster's long-standing involvement in European projects. He particularly congratulated the cluster for obtaining more than €5.9 million in directly managed funding from the European Union over the past ten years.

This recognition demonstrates the European strategy implemented by Polymeris, consistent with national priorities in terms of competitiveness, ecological and digital transition, and industrial sovereignty. As a competitiveness cluster funded by the State, regions, and local authorities, Polymeris plays a strategic interface role between regional ecosystems and European agencies.

For several years, the cluster has supported its members—companies, technical centers, laboratories, and training institutions—in the identification, development, and management of European projects, particularly through the Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Interreg, and Euroclusters programs.

To respond to the growing interest of industry players, Polymeris has structured a dedicated Europe & International team, which has grown from 1 to 6 people in 5 years. This strengthening of skills reflects the cluster's ambition to facilitate access to European funding, but also to promote the expertise of the materials, plastics, rubber, composites and recycling sectors on a European and international scale.

Beyond funding, Europe is for Polymeris a space for cooperation, shared innovation, and strategic openness. The public support the cluster receives allows it to work closely with stakeholders and local areas, while ensuring projects are aligned with a focus on impact and visibility on a European scale.

The Minister's call to continue and expand this commitment confirms the relevance of the actions taken. In a context of industrial transformation, European counters constitute an essential lever for anticipating transitions and consolidating value chains.

Polymeris thus reaffirms its commitment to providing long-term support to its members in accessing European funding, and to actively contributing to the Union's priorities in terms of innovation, sustainability and competitiveness.
