Polymeris participated on January 24, 2023 in the international launch conference of the EDIH4Manu network organized by MADE Competence Center Industry 4.0 in Milan. A network of 25 EDIHs (European Digital Innovation Hub) coordinated by MADE Competence Center i4.0, EDIH4Manu gathers EDIHs from the most competitive European regions and represents more than 30% of the value-added of European manufacturing industries.
This conference was an opportunity to discuss the role and services of EDIHs in supporting the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry. Polymeris presented the role of Polytronics, the EDIH for smart polymers coordinated by the cluster, in supporting companies in the polymers industry in their digital transformation.
It was also an opportunity to present the WALCHY project, which aims to develop a gate valve for the hydrogen industry based on an additive manufacturing process (WAAM). Funded by the European call for projects DIH-WORLD and formed by a consortium composed of the Italian company Valland and EDIH Polytronics, this project was born thanks to the connection by EDIH Lombardia within the EDIH4Manu network.
