AI REDGIO 5.0 : l’intelligence artificielle au service de la performance industrielle
Completed on January 1, 2026, the European AI REDGIO 5.0 project enabled POLYMERIS to provide practical support to two of its members in integrating artificial intelligence solutions into their industrial activities, while strengthening its range of services dedicated to digital transformation within Polytronics.
In this context, Pernoud (Groissiat, Ain) conducted an experiment applied to the design and manufacture of industrial molds. Using automated analysis of 3D files, machine learning algorithms, and Edge AI architectures, this use case demonstrated the value of AI in optimizing production planning, improving operational visibility, and supporting decision-making in highly variable contexts. A video review of this experiment provides a concrete illustration of these results.
At the same time, SWARM (Lyon) structured an experiment around a hybrid Edge-to-Cloud Didactic Factory, enabling SMEs to test AI solutions, particularly in predictive maintenance and intelligent logistics, before investing, while supporting the upskilling of teams.
Beyond use cases, AI REDGIO 5.0 has helped enrich Polytronics' methodologies, tools, and best practices, positioning POLYMERIS as a key entry point for SMEs wishing to undertake AI projects and access European funding.
