On December 12, 2023, Polymeris organized its annual Scientific Day on the theme of Aging and Sustainability. Each year, the Scientific Day deals with a key topic in the cluster's Technology Roadmap drawn up by the Scientific Council.

Just over fifty participants came together to discuss the topic from a number of different angles: the stresses placed on materials over time, materials recycling and, finally, the characterization of materials and aging.

Today marks a significant milestone for the Polymeris competitiveness cluster for rubber, plastics and composites, with the inauguration of its new premises in the Agreen Lab'O Village de CA in Orléans. This expansion is accompanied by a strengthening of the team dedicated to the region, illustrating our commitment to our members and the region's industrial and academic players.

Extracthive est le lauréat de l'AAP RRR de l'Ademe sur la thématique du recyclage des composites (copie)

We are pleased to announce that Extracthive has won ADEME's RRR call for projects, dedicated to "Innovative solutions for improving the recyclability, recycling and reincorporation of composite materials".

Extracthive was awarded €2.9 million in funding to support the industrialisation of its patented PHYre® technology, a greener solution for recycling carbon fibres from composite waste.

EVAPLUS: study on the recycling of used plastics in the healthcare sector

Take part in a study on the recycling and recovery of used plastics in the healthcare sector.

The aim will be to draw on existing studies and experiments, as well as to call on healthcare establishments, manufacturers and recyclers to characterize the ways in which plastics can be recovered in the healthcare sector, and to assess the level of maturity of actors in the field.

At Pollutec 2023, Polymeris took part in several workshops and events dedicated to European projects and exchanges with European clusters to represent its members on issues related to waste and resource management and the plastics circular economy.

European & international French-speaking meeting

In collaboration with Walloon partners AWEX, WBI, NCP Wallonia, Mecatech and the H2O cluster, French partners Axelera, Polymeris and France Water Team, Quebec partner Québec International & Luxembourg partners LUXInnovation, LIST and CCI Luxembourg, On October 10, the GreenWin cluster organized a working and networking session to present European opportunities and foster new collaborations within European projects in the Waste/Resources and Air Quality & Water themes. Companies were able to pitch their expertise and projects in the pipeline. Polymeris also presented the POLREC project and its currently open calls for cascade funding.

The 2nd edition of the "Forum Multi Matériaux" in Metz on September 11 and 12, 2023

Buoyed by the success of the first edition, which brought together over 200 participants in September 2019 at Michelin in Ladoux (63), MATERALIA, the Pôle Européen de la Céramique and POLYMERIS, have decided to join forces again to organize a second forum on a topical subject: Materials for tomorrow's energy and industry.

The main objective is to bring together industrial and academic players from the three ecosystems interested in technological innovation, and to explore the major challenges of multi-materials by identifying technological trends.

Polymeris sets up in the Clermont-Ferrand ecosystem

As part of its new development strategy, Polymeris has opened a new office in Clermont-Ferrand. The new offices are located in Hall 32 of the Campus des Métiers et Qualifications autour de l'Industrie in the heart of the Cataroux park. A new innovation officer joined the cluster in early May.

This new location in the Parc Cataroux will enable Polymeris to be as close as possible to the Clermont-Ferrand ecosystem, its local members and in particular IPC, academics such as the Institut de Chimie, the Université de Clermont Auvergne and the CNEP. The Park was born out of Michelin's desire to continue developing its historic site in the heart of Clermont Ferrand. Conceived and realized with public and private players, educational organizations, entrepreneurs, multinationals, SMEs and startups, as well as representatives of civil society, the Parc Cataroux aims to be a collective response to the technological and economic challenges of today and tomorrow.

Back to: the meeting of the MATEX Industrial Club

On March 21, the 7th meeting of the MATEX Industrial Club took place, organized by the co-hosts, Martin Depardieu DWS, Catherine Bessada, CNRS, Martin Pajot Polymeris and Maéva Lemée and Natacha Olivier Technopole d'Orléans.
 
In the morning, we visited the Atelier Loire Chartres. During this visit we could discover the work of the master glassworkers in particular for the design and the restoration of stained glasses. You will find on their website a range of their most beautiful and great projects,
