Hack&Match of the Idealist project on Artificial Intelligence: discover the innovative solutions that won the challenge

On June 17 and 18, Polymeris participated in the second edition of the Hack&Match of the European IDEALIST project on Artificial Intelligence, dedicated to innovation for industrial SMEs. This event offered companies the opportunity to connect with a network of experts to co-develop innovative, concrete and tailor-made solutions. Its main objective: to strengthen the autonomy of SMEs in three strategic industrial ecosystems — energy-intensive industries, aerospace and defense, as well as mobility, transport and automotive.

Polymeris played a dual role during this event: on the one hand, by supporting the teams during the co-creation sessions and on the other hand, as an evaluator, to analyze the projects, their relevance, their maturity and their potential for industrial deployment.

This edition was marked by a wide variety of stimulating industrial challenges, including:

  • Challenge #1 – How can we empower visually impaired people in public transportation hubs?
  • Challenge #2 – Implementing AI-based monitoring systems for infusion processes in composite part manufacturing.
  • Challenge #3 – How can we use artificial intelligence to improve customer acquisition in consulting and automation SMEs?
  • Challenge #4 – Digitizing and structuring old railway plans into usable DWG format.
  • Challenge #5 – Reinventing polymers and packaging eco-design using artificial intelligence.

This Hack&Match was a true showcase of the dynamism of collaborative innovation in Europe. It demonstrated, once again, that when expertise is combined and the right skills are networked, ideas come to life and are transformed into concrete solutions.

On July 1st at 10 a.m., the awards ceremony for the concrete innovative solutions developed took place: Congratulations to challenges 1 and 4, which generated great interest from participants and the jury!
