PLASTICE is pleased to announce the second webinar in its series, taking place on 25 November 2025 from 10:00 to 11:30 CET.
Organised by POLYMERIS, this session will highlight the latest progress in textile recycling, with a special focus on enzymatic and chemical upcycling approaches developed within the PLASTICE project and by leading European partners.
The PLASTICE project aims to demonstrate sustainable methods to close the plastic production loop by converting post-consumer plastic and textile waste into new feedstocks and high-value industrial products.
This second webinar will explore recent advances in enzymatic recycling of polyester and blended fabrics, paving the way for circular and low-carbon value chains.
Program:
-
Bio-upcycling of complex materials – Dr. Georg Gübitz, Institute of Environmental Biotechnology, BOKU University
-
Enzymatic hydrolysis: Challenges and Opportunities of Separating Textile Waste Streams for Recycling – Dipl.-Ing. Barbara Liedl, TCKT – Transfercenter für Kunststofftechnik GmbH
-
A third contribution will be announced soon.
The webinar will be followed by a Q&A session with the speakers.
Free participation upon registration.
